For our persuasive writing project, we thought it’d be interesting if not only our loved ones read our letters, but a person with the power to make changes could read it as well. After much discussion, the writers decided to write to our governor, Pak Basuki Rahmat. We took on different issues each writer thought was important to them and developed arguments as to why improvement was needed. To our surprise, he replied our letters and invited us to his office! It was an experience that we will never forget, thank you Pak Basuki and Pak Puspla for helping coordinate our visit. Please read our letters to Ahok, Ahok’s reply to us, and our thank you letter!
